Police said a gray GMC SUV crashed into a pole. The driver fled the scene after the crash.

Chicago, IL. – A woman was killed after a deadly collision on Thursday morning in Chicago, according to the Chicago Police Department.
The accident occurred at about 5:00 a.m. on January 1st in the 3400 block of East 95th Street.
Police said a gray GMC SUV crashed into a pole. The driver fled the scene after the crash.
A 38-year-old female passenger sustained head and body injuries and was rushed to a local hospital where she was declared dead.
No one else was injured in the collision.
An investigation by the Major Accidents Unit is underway.
