Pasco County, FL – Two people were killed in a fiery traffic collision in New Port Richey on Wednesday evening, according to Florida Highway Patrol.

According to FHP, a 27-year-old Port Richey man was driving a Dodge Ram pickup at a high rate of speed when he collided with a Toyota 4Runner that drove into its path.
The impact caused the 4Runner to flip before catching fire.
The driver and a passenger died in the 4Runner were pronounced dead at the scene. The names of the deceased were not immediately released.
Another passenger of the 4Runner and the driver of the Ram were transported to the hospital with serious injuries.
According to a report, a fire truck that was responding to the fiery collision was struck by a speeding pickup on Little Road at around 7:30 p.m.
