Three people killed in head-on collision on US Route 24 near County Road 200 East Street in Brown County identified
Brown County, IL. – Authorities have identified three people who died in a car accident near Timewell on Thursday.
According to the Brown County Sheriff’s Office, the accident happened on US Route 24 near the intersection of County Road 200 East Street.
A Toyota Avalon was traveling west on US Route 24 when it collided head-on with a Chrysler Town & Country.
Richard W. Dietrich, age 89, and Edward Dietrich, age 62, both of Quincy, were in the Chrysler and were taken to a local hospital where they died while receiving treatment.
Donna J. Stephenson, age 78, of Timewell, Illinois, was driving the Toyota Avalon and was pronounced dead at the accident scene.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
