Avalon Park, IL. – Three people were injured, two critically, in a collision that happened on Thursday afternoon in the Avalon Park area of Chicago.

According to the police, the accident happened around 8:20 p.m. at East 86th Street and South Stony Island Avenue.

A 62-year-old man was driving an SUV when he collided with a sedan driven by an 18-year-old man.

The driver of the SUV and his passenger, a 63-year-old woman, were critically injured and were transported to the University of Chicago Medical Center.

The driver of the sedan suffered minor injuries and was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn.
