Las Vegas, NV. – One person was killed in a motorcycle accident that happened at an intersection near UMC in Las Vegas on Wednesday morning.

According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the accident happened around 1 a.m. at the intersection of Charleston Boulevard and Shadow Lane, just west of Interstate 15.

A 2012 Yamaha FZ8-N motorcycle was traveling west on Charleston when it crashed into an RTC bus which was turning left.

The 32-year-old motorcyclist was ejected from the bike and came to rest on the roadway.

The motorcyclist was transported to UMC Trauma Center where he was pronounced dead.

A 43-year-old passenger on the RTC bus was transported to the UMC Trauma Center with unknown injuries.

More details about the accident were not released.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
