The driver of the Nissan was ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene
Albuquerque, N.M. – One person was killed and another was injured in a collision that happened in Albuquerque on Friday night.
According to the Albuquerque Police Department, the accident happened just before midnight in the area of Coors Boulevard NW and Sequoia Road NW.
A Nissan Juke and a Volkswagon were traveling south on Coors when they collided and lost control. The impact sent both vehicles into northbound lanes where the Nissan overturned.
The driver of the Nissan was ejected and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Volkswagon sustained minor injuries in the accident.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
