McHenry County, IL. – One person was airlifted to hospital after being injured in a collision near Woodstock on Thursday afternoon.
According to the Woodstock Police Department, the accident happened around 12 p.m. at Route 120 and North Queen Anne Road, according to the Woodstock Fire/Rescue District.
A semi-truck hauling heavy machinery reportedly collided with a sedan in unclear circumstances.
The man driving the sedan was trapped inside the car and was extricated. He was transported to Northwestern Medicine Hospital in Woodstock before being airlifted to a Level 1 trauma center.
The driver of the semi-truck declined medical treatment at the scene.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
