TUCSON, (March 10, 2021)—On Friday, April 2, 2021, the historic Rialto Theatre in downtown Tucson will softly open its doors for The Gallery Project sponsored by Lerner and Rowe Injury Attorneys. As the title sponsor, the law firm donated funds towards The Gallery Project to help the Rialto get back on its feet after the COVID-19 pandemic forced its closure back in March 2020, resulting in a significant loss of revenue and the jobs of over 100 staff members. The main goals of The Gallery Project are to help raise funds to support an official reopening of the theatre, as well as to reconnect the community by bringing loyal patrons back home to the Rialto with free special showings of curated images from past live events. Featured exhibits will include the photography of C. Elliott and Mark Martinez and poster designs from Ryan Trayte.
Music lovers are invited to view these captured memories within the theatre’s historic walls on Fridays and Saturdays from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. until the live music starts again. And even though attendance is free and open to the public, reservations are required. Groups of up to four people allowed per reservation. Safety protocols will be strictly enforced, including temperature checks at the door, social distancing measures, and masks required while inside the theatre.
