Pedestrian in Extremely Critical Condition After Phoenix Crash

Phoenix, AZ (June 29, 2018)- A pedestrian remains in extremely critical condition after being hit by a vehicle off a street in Phoenix early Friday morning. Phoenix police spokesperson, Sgt. Mercedes Fortune stated officers responded to the crash near 25th Avenue and Cactus Road around 4 a.m.

According to witnesses, a woman was in the road when she was struck by a car travelling westbound on Cactus Road.

Fortune also said the woman was taken to a local hospital in extremely critical condition. Traffic was restricted on Cactus Road between 23rd and 25th avenues. The roads have since reopened.

Impairment does not appear to be a factor and the driver remained on scene.
