The deadly crash occurred at about 10:36 p.m. on May 31 at the intersection of County Road 450 and County Road 42.

Umatilla, FL – A 51-year-old Ocklawaha woman was killed after her car crashed at an intersection in Umatilla Saturday, according to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP).
The deadly crash occurred at about 10:36 p.m. on May 31 at the intersection of County Road 450 and County Road 42.
According to FHP, the woman was driving an SUV northbound on CR 450 when, for some reason, she ran a stop sign at the intersection and then veered off the road onto the north shoulder of CR 42, where she struck an amber warning sign before crashing into a tree.
The woman was transported to HCA Florida Ocala Hospital where she died shortly after arrival.
Her name has not been released.
The crash is under investigation.
