Chicago, IL. – A 35-year-old woman was killed after a train accident on Tuesday morning in Chicago, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office.
The accident occurred a while before 10:00 a.m. on June 30, in the 1800-block of West Addison Street.
Deputies said the woman was struck by a northbound CTA Brown Line train at the Addison station in unclear circumstances.
The woman was rushed to a local hospital in a critical condition.
Deputies later confirmed the woman dead due to the collision and are investigating the incident as a death.
Authorities suspended the trains between Belmont and Kimball on the North and Northwest sides for several hours.
