Troopers said two people were injured following an accident early Friday morning on Florida’s Turnpike near State Road 50 in Winter Garden.
Winter Garden, FL.- Two people were injured following an accident Friday morning in Winter Garden.
The accident occurred around 5:39 a.m. on July 17 on the southbound lanes of Florida’s Turnpike near mile marker 274, just before State Road 50.
Troopers said the collision involved a 2001 Chevrolet Tahoe and a 2016 Hyundai Sonata.
Emergency crews responded to the scene and transported both injured occupants to a local hospital with non life threatening injuries.
The southbound lanes of Florida’s Turnpike were temporarily blocked, causing significant traffic delays before the roadway was fully reopened.
Additional information about the cause of the accident has not been released.
The accident remains under investigation.
