Police said a teenage boy died after suffering critical injuries in an accident involving an electric dirt bike and an SUV Tuesday night near Wauconda High School.
Wauconda, IL.- A teenage boy was killed following an electric dirt bike accident Tuesday night in Wauconda.
The accident occurred at approximately 9:58 p.m. on June 21 in the 500 block of North Main Street near the entrance to Wauconda High School.
Emergency crews responded after receiving reports of a collision involving an electric dirt bike and an SUV.
Responding officers found the teenage rider lying in the roadway with life threatening injuries.
The teen was transported by ambulance to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
Additional information about the circumstances surrounding the collision has not been released.
The accident remains under investigation.
