Tippecanoe County, IN. – One person was killed in a head-on collision on Friday afternoon in Tippecanoe County.
According to the Tippecanoe County Sheriff’s Office, the accident happened at U.S. 231 and County Road 800 South, near State Road 28 at around 12:30 p.m.
A car was traveling southbound when it crossed the centerline and collided head-on with a northbound semi hauling anhydrous ammonia.
The semi struck a guardrail near the bridge and came to rest in a wooded area.
The driver of the car succumbed to injuries.
