Texarkana, TX.- Two people were killed and three others were injured following a truck accident north of Texarkana, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
Authorities said the collision occurred on Highway 71 north of Texarkana. The exact time and date of the accident have not been released.
Preliminary information indicates the SUV became lodged beneath the tractor trailer during the collision.
Two occupants of the SUV were pronounced dead at the scene.
Three additional occupants were transported to local hospitals for treatment.
