Troopers said a 14-year-old was riding an e-scooter in a marked crosswalk when he was struck by a driver.

Beaverton, OR. – A 14-year-old teenage boy was severely injured early Wednesday morning in Beaverton, according to Oregon State Police.
The accident occurred a while before 6:30 a.m. on June 24 on SW Scholls Ferry Road at SW Loon Drive.
Troopers said a 14-year-old was riding an e-scooter in a marked crosswalk when he was struck by a driver.
The 14-year-old boy, who was wearing a seatbelt at the time, was severely injured. The teen was rushed to the hospital where he was listed in a critical condition.
The driver, a 16-year-old boy, stayed at the crash site and was cooperative.
