Motorcyclist Killed in Accident at Apalachee Parkway and Connor Boulevard in Tallahassee

Troopers said a motorcyclist was killed following a collision involving a car Sunday night at Apalachee Parkway and Connor Boulevard in Tallahassee.

Tallahassee, FL.- A motorcycle rider was killed following a two vehicle accident Sunday night in Tallahassee.

The accident occurred shortly after 7:30 p.m. on August 30 at the intersection of Apalachee Parkway and Connor Boulevard.

Authorities said the collision involved a motorcycle and a passenger car.

Both drivers were men from Tallahassee.

Emergency crews responded to the scene and transported the injured motorcyclist to Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare for treatment.

Authorities said the motorcycle rider was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The driver of the passenger car was not injured in the collision and was the vehicle’s only occupant.

Traffic was diverted away from Connor Boulevard following the accident. Vehicles traveling on Apalachee Parkway were also redirected around the intersection.

The area remained closed while the Florida Highway Patrol investigated the collision and emergency crews worked at the scene.

Drivers were advised to avoid the intersection and use alternate routes during the closure.

The fatal accident remains under investigation.
