Authorities said one person was killed after being struck by a semi truck Thursday morning on Interstate 95 in St. Johns County.
St. Johns County, FL.- One person was killed following a truck accident Thursday morning in St. Johns County, according to the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office.
The accident occurred at approximately 10:11 a.m. on July 16 on the southbound side of Interstate 95 near mile marker 304.
Authorities said the victim was struck by a semi truck. Additional details about the circumstances surrounding the accident have not been released.
The collision prompted the closure of two southbound lanes of Interstate 95 for several hours while emergency crews responded to the scene and cleared the roadway.
The accident remains under investigation.
