Authorities said a motorcyclist suffered serious, possibly life threatening injuries following a three vehicle accident Wednesday morning on Interstate 80 in Sparks.
Sparks, NV.- A motorcyclist was seriously injured following a three vehicle accident Wednesday morning in Sparks.
The accident occurred on August 19 on eastbound Interstate 80 west of Vista Boulevard.
Authorities said the collision involved three vehicles, including a motorcycle.
The motorcycle rider suffered serious injuries that were described as possibly life threatening.
Emergency crews responded to the scene and transported the injured motorcyclist to a local hospital by ground ambulance for treatment.
No other injuries were reported in the initial information about the collision.
Eastbound Interstate 80 was closed from Sparks Boulevard following the accident while emergency crews assisted the injured rider and authorities investigated the scene.
The roadway reopened at approximately 8:15 a.m.
Authorities have not released the identity of the injured motorcyclist or additional information about the other vehicles involved.
The accident remains under investigation.
