Flagstaff, AZ – A man was hospitalized with serious injuries after an electric skateboard collided with a Flagstaff PD patrol car late Tuesday night, Flagstaff PD said in a report.

The accident occurred on June 3, just before Midnight on South Milton Road at Route 66.

Police said an off-duty Flagstaff police officer was driving a marked patrol car northbound on S Milton Rd approaching Route 66 when they collided with a man on a self-balancing, single-wheel electrical skateboard.

Police say the man on the skateboard suddenly entered the roadway leading to the crash.

The officer stopped and helped the injured man.

The man was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries and remains in serious condition.

The accident remains under investigation.
