Officials confirmed Richard was riding his motorcycle north at the intersection when he was struck by a truck that was traveling east on County Road 950N.
Brown County, IL. – Rusty Rickard of Ripley, Illinois was killed after a motorcycle collision on Saturday outside Cooperstown, according to the Brown County Sheriff’s Department.
The accident happened on June 26, at 1400E Street and County Road 950N intersection.
Officials confirmed Richard was riding his motorcycle north at the intersection when he was struck by a truck that was traveling east on County Road 950N.
Rickard was declared dead at the scene.
The Truck driver, Cody Whitetaker of Mt.Sterling, Illinois, was issued a ticket for not yielding.
No other information regarding this crash was provided.
An investigation is underway.
