Authorities said three people were injured following a three vehicle accident Wednesday afternoon at Route 31 and Gracy Road in Prairie Grove.
Prairie Grove, IL.- Three people were injured following a multi vehicle accident Wednesday afternoon in Prairie Grove.
The accident was reported at approximately 2:32 p.m. on July 15 at the intersection of Route 31 and Gracy Road.
Emergency crews arrived to find three vehicles with moderate to heavy damage. A small work truck had entered a nearby ditch, trapping the driver inside.
Firefighters stabilized the vehicle and safely freed the trapped driver.
The driver of the work truck and another adult occupant were transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.
A woman driving an SUV was also hospitalized with moderate injuries believed to be non life threatening.
The third driver declined additional medical treatment after being evaluated at the scene.
Route 31 remained closed for about 90 minutes before reopening around 4 p.m.
The accident remains under investigation.
