Authorities said four people were injured after a driver reportedly ran a red light and struck a Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office inmate transport vehicle Friday night in Phoenix.
Phoenix, AZ.- Four people were injured following an accident Friday night in Phoenix.
The accident occurred on July 24 near 19th Avenue and Interstate 17.
Authorities said the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office inmate transport vehicle was carrying inmates when another driver reportedly entered the intersection after running a red light and collided with it.
Three inmates and one deputy were transported to a local hospital for evaluation.
Officials said all injuries were considered non life threatening.
The identities of those involved have not been released.
The accident remains under investigation.
