22-Year-Old Man Killed in Three-Vehicle Accident near Glendale and 35th Avenues in Phoenix

Police said a 22 year old man was killed following a three vehicle accident Saturday afternoon near Glendale Avenue and 35th Avenue in Phoenix.

Phoenix, AZ.- A 22 year old man was killed following a three vehicle accident Saturday afternoon in Phoenix, according to the Phoenix Police Department.

The accident occurred around 5 p.m. on August 29 near the intersection of Glendale Avenue and 35th Avenue.

Police said the collision involved a BMW sedan, a Toyota Camry, and a Kia sedan.

According to preliminary information, the BMW was traveling west on Glendale Avenue at a high rate of speed when it collided with the Toyota as the Toyota exited a private driveway.

The impact caused the Toyota to spin into the eastbound lanes of Glendale Avenue, where it collided with the Kia.

The 22 year old BMW driver suffered serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Authorities said the man later died from his injuries.

An adult woman and two children traveling in the Toyota did not suffer serious injuries.

The Kia driver was injured and transported to a nearby hospital with injuries described as non life threatening.

Police said neither of the surviving drivers showed signs of impairment.
