Peoria, IL.- Two people were injured following a two vehicle accident Thursday afternoon in Peoria.
The accident occurred around 5:00 p.m. on July 16 at the intersection of West Alta Road and Knoxville Avenue.
Both drivers were transported to local hospitals with injuries that were not considered life threatening.
Authorities have not released additional information about those involved or the circumstances leading up to the accident.
Traffic through the intersection was temporarily shut down while damaged vehicles were removed from the roadway.
The accident remains under investigation.
