Deputies said a pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle early Tuesday morning near the intersection of 107th Avenue and Buckeye Road in Tolleson.
Tolleson, AZ.- A pedestrian was killed following an accident early Tuesday morning in Tolleson, according to the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office.
The accident occurred around 2:30 a.m. on July 15 near the intersection of 107th Avenue and Buckeye Road.
Deputies said the driver called 911 to report the crash. Responding deputies arrived to find the pedestrian unresponsive in the roadway.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators said the driver remained at the location and is cooperating with the investigation.
Buckeye Road was closed in both directions during the morning commute before reopening shortly before 9 a.m.
The identity of the pedestrian has not yet been released.
The accident remains under investigation.
