Police said the woman was driving her vehicle when she was hit by a car that fled the scene after the crash.

Lake Mary, FL.- A 42-year-old woman of Oviedo was killed after a hit-and-run crash late Tuesday night in Lake Mary, according to the Lake Mary Police Department.
The accident happened a while before 11:00 p.m. on June 30 near W. Lake Mary Boulevard and Wheelhouse Lane.
Police said the woman was driving her vehicle when she was hit by a car that fled the scene after the crash.
The woman was declared dead at the crash site.
Police later located the suspect driver less than a half mile away from the crash site. The driver, a 22-year-old man of Longwood, was arrested and was taken to the Seminole County jail after midnight.
He was held on no bond, and he was charged with DUI manslaughter, hit-and-run involving death and vehicular homicide.
He was scheduled to make his first appearance in court on Thursday afternoon.
