Douglas County, OR – The man who was killed Monday night in a car accident in Douglas County has been identified as 39-year-old Oscar Bishop of Glendale, according to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.

The fatal accident happened just before 8:30 p.m., June 30, in the 1100 block of Reuben Road

Authorities said Bishop was driving eastbound toward Glendale when he failed to negotiate a left-hand curve and his car went off the road and crashed into some trees.

The car caught fire and Bishop had to be extricated from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
