Woman Killed in Two-Vehicle Accident near SR 520 and Maxim Parkway in Orange County

Authorities said a 41 year old woman was killed and another driver was injured following a two vehicle accident Sunday afternoon near SR 520 and Maxim Parkway in Orange County.

Orange County, FL.- A 41 year old woman was killed following a two vehicle accident Sunday afternoon in Orange County.

The accident occurred at approximately 2:30 p.m. on August 16 near the intersection of SR 520 and Maxim Parkway.

Authorities said the woman was driving a Mitsubishi Lancer when her vehicle was struck on the left side by a Toyota Camry.

According to the preliminary investigation, the Camry was traveling above the speed limit and failed to stop at a red light before entering the intersection and colliding with the Lancer.

The 41 year old driver of the Mitsubishi Lancer was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Toyota Camry was driven by a 24 year old man. He was transported to an area hospital with non life threatening injuries following the collision.

Authorities have not released the identities of the drivers or additional information about the circumstances surrounding the accident.

The accident remains under investigation.
