Jefferson County, OR – One person was killed on Thursday in a two-vehicle accident on Highway 26 in Madras, according to the Oregon State Police.
The fatal accident happened at about 7 a.m. on May 29, at the intersection of Highway 26 and Dovber Lane, south of Madras, according to OSP.
OSP said a 22-year-old man from Bend was driving a Dodge Ram 2500 and trailer southbound on Highway 26 and he began to make a left-hand turn onto Dover Lane.
A man operating a Harley-Davidson motorcycle tried to pass on the left side of the pickup and crashed into the trailer as the pickup driver turned left.
The motorcyclist suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Further details were not available.
The accident remains under investigation.
