Oak Brook, IL.- A motorcyclist was killed following an accident Friday morning in Oak Brook.
The accident was reported at approximately 7:07 a.m. on July 17 on northbound Interstate 294 near 31st Street.
Authorities said the collision involved a motorcycle and a pickup truck.
One person involved in the accident was transported to a nearby hospital, where the victim later died.
The identities of those involved have not been released.
The ramp from northbound Interstate 294 to westbound Interstate 88 remained closed for an extended period while crews cleared the scene, causing significant traffic delays.
The accident remains under investigation.
