A 9-year-old girl and the driver of the white Ford were hospitalized with unknown injuries

Clatsop County, OR. – Michael Skillin, 56, has been identified as the person who died in a multi-vehicle collision on Tuesday morning in Clatsop County.
According to Oregon State Police, the accident happened around 6:30 a.m. on Highway 26 near milepost 16.
Skillin was driving a red Ford F-150 and was attempting to pass multiple vehicles when he collided with an eastbound white Ford F-350 before hitting the trailer of a commercial motor vehicle.
Skilin was pronounced dead at the accident scene.
A 9-year-old girl, who was a passenger in the red Ford, and the driver of the white Ford were hospitalized with unknown injuries.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
