Salem, OR – A man, identified as 52-year-old Michael Martinez of Salem, was killed in an auto-pedestrian crash that occurred along Silverton Road in Salem late Sunday night.
The accident was reported at about 10:00 p.m. on June 8 in the 6000 block of Silverton Road NE.
OSP said Martinez was hit by a vehicle operated by a 58-year-old woman. Martinez was pronounced dead at the scene.
Silverton Road was shut down for about three and a half hours as crews worked at the scene.
Police said the driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.
The crash remains under investigation and no additional details are available at this time.
