Southwest Miami-Dade, FL.- One person was injured following a multi vehicle accident Friday afternoon on Florida’s Turnpike.

The accident occurred around 3:45 p.m. on August 28 in the southbound lanes near Caribbean Boulevard.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue and Florida Highway Patrol units responded to the scene after receiving reports of a collision involving multiple vehicles.

Emergency crews provided medical assistance to those involved in the accident.

One person suffered injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

The collision caused two left southbound lanes of Florida’s Turnpike to close while emergency crews assisted those involved and worked to clear the accident scene.
