West Phoenix, AZ. – A man was killed after a semi-truck accident on Monday morning in West Phoenix, according to the Phoenix Police Department.
The accident happened at about 6:00 a.m. on June 15, near 25th Avenue and Buckeye Road, just west of Interstate 17.
Police said a white van driver did not yield, and he turned left in front of a red semi-truck. The two vehicles ultimately crashed.
The van driver was rushed to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
The semi driver was taken to the hospital as a precaution.
The white van sustained significant front-end damage and the semi-truck had damage to its cab and was disabled in the junction.
The incident remains under investigation.
