Quincy, WA. – One person was killed after two trucks collided in Quincy on Thursday afternoon.

The crash happened at about 1:52 p.m. on November 13 on State Route 28, approximately seven miles east of Quincy, the Washington State Patrol said in a report.

Authorities said a vehicle, operated by a 36-year-old driver from Othello, pulled out of a private driveway and attempted to make a left-hand turn onto eastbound SR-28.

The vehicle failed to yield the right of way to a westbound truck, resulting in a collision.

The truck crashed into the vehicle’s trailer.

The driver of the truck, a 49-year-old man from Ephrata, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The second driver was not injured.

More details about the accident were not released.

The accident remains under investigation.
