Authorities said a 69 year old Chicago woman was killed and multiple others were injured following an accident involving a passenger car and a semi truck early Friday morning on Interstate 57 near Ludlow.
Ludlow, IL.- One woman was killed and multiple people were injured following a two vehicle accident Friday morning near Ludlow.
The accident occurred at approximately 12:48 a.m. on August 14 on Interstate 57.
Authorities said the collision involved a passenger car and a semi truck.
Multiple people were transported to local hospitals with injuries following the accident.
One occupant of the passenger car was identified as 69 year old Elease Tolar of Chicago. Tolar was transported to Carle Hospital in Urbana following the collision.
Tolar later died from her injuries and was pronounced dead at approximately 7:03 a.m.
Authorities have not released additional information about the other people who were injured or the severity of their conditions.
