Neenah, IL – A 73-year-old man was hit and killed by a hit-and-run driver near Neenah on Thursday morning, according to the Morton Grove Police Department.
The incident took place in the 6700 block of Beckwith Road at around 7:30 a.m. June 26.
According to the report, Jonathan Friedman of Morton Grove was walking in the area when he was hit by a tan Chevy Equinox LT traveling on Beckwith Road.
Friedman was rushed to Lutheran General Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
The driver fled the scene after the accident but police later located a vehicle suspected to have been involved in the collision.
The accident is under investigation.
