Authorities said the driver of a van was killed after colliding with a dump truck Tuesday morning at the intersection of State Road 1 and CR 400 South in Jay County.
Portland, IN.- A driver was killed following an accident Tuesday morning near Portland, according to preliminary reports.
The accident occurred at approximately 6 a.m. on July 14 at the intersection of State Road 1 and CR 400 South in Jay County.
Preliminary reports indicate the van was traveling east on CR 400 South when it failed to yield to a dump truck traveling north on State Road 1.
The collision resulted in fatal injuries to the van driver, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
The identity of the victim has not been released.
The accident remains under investigation.
