Indianapolis, IN. – A 21-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a crash on Tuesday afternoon in Indianapolis.
According to the Tippecanoe County Sheriff’s Office, the accident occurred at the intersection of U.S. 231 and Veterans Memorial Parkway at around 2:30 p.m.
A Honda CR-V was crossing the northbound lanes of U.S. 231 when it failed to yield the right of way to a motorcycle traveling northbound on U.S. 231.
The rider was ejected from the motorcycle, and the motorcycle crashed into an Acura TL passenger car that had stopped at the red light on Veterans Memorial Parkway.
The rider was taken to the local hospital and was later pronounced dead.
