Indianapolis, IN.- A pedestrian was killed following an accident Friday morning in Indianapolis.

The accident was reported at approximately 6:02 a.m. on July 17 at the intersection of West 38th Street and Michigan Road.

Deputies responded to reports of a crash with injuries and found the pedestrian suffering from serious injuries.

The victim was transported to a local hospital, where the pedestrian later died.

Authorities said the driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.

The intersection of West 38th Street and Michigan Road was closed in all directions while investigators processed the scene.

The accident remains under investigation.
