Haines City, FL.- A pedestrian was killed following an accident involving a dump truck Tuesday morning in Haines City, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The accident occurred at approximately 9:30 a.m. on August 11 at South 30th Street and Robinson Drive.
According to a preliminary Florida Highway Patrol report, the pedestrian was walking south across the roadway within a crosswalk when the accident occurred.
Troopers said the dump truck was traveling north and making a right turn when it struck the pedestrian.
The pedestrian was killed as a result of the collision.
Authorities have not released the identity of the pedestrian or additional information about the dump truck driver.
Investigators have not made a final determination regarding fault or identified any additional factors that may have contributed to the collision.
The accident remains under investigation.
