Greene County, IN.- At least two people were killed and a construction worker was seriously injured following an accident Saturday afternoon on Interstate 69.
The accident occurred on August 29 on southbound Interstate 69 near mile marker 93, approximately nine miles south of the Scotland area.
Indiana State Police said preliminary information indicates two vehicles were involved in the collision.
At least two people suffered fatal injuries as a result of the accident.
Authorities also reported that a road construction worker was believed to have suffered serious injuries.
Additional information regarding the construction worker’s condition has not been released.
Police have not released the identities of those who died or additional information about the occupants of the vehicles involved.
Southbound Interstate 69 was closed in the area for several hours while emergency crews assisted those involved and investigators examined the accident scene.
