Several Children Hurt in Three-Vehicle Accident on 67th Avenue in Glendale

Police said several children were injured following a three vehicle accident Thursday afternoon on 67th Avenue near Deer Valley Road in Glendale.

Glendale, AZ.- Several children were injured following a three vehicle accident Thursday afternoon in Glendale, according to Glendale Police.

The accident occurred around 3:45 p.m. on August 27 on 67th Avenue just south of Deer Valley Road.

Authorities said three vehicles were involved in the collision, including a pickup truck that overturned and a sedan carrying several children.

Emergency crews responded to the scene and provided medical assistance to those injured in the accident.

One child was reportedly found unconscious and suffering from a head injury.

Several other children involved in the collision were treated for injuries described as non life threatening.

Authorities have not released the total number of people injured or additional information regarding the condition of the child who was initially unconscious.

Arrowhead Loop Road was closed while emergency crews assisted those involved and investigators examined the accident scene.

The roadway later reopened Thursday night.

Additional information about what caused the three vehicles to collide has not been released.

The accident remains under investigation.
