Fort Wayne, IN.- A child was seriously injured following a pedestrian accident Saturday afternoon on Fort Wayne’s south side, according to the Fort Wayne Police Department and Allen County Communications.
The accident occurred around 1:45 p.m. on August 15 at the intersection of Hanna Street and East Maple Grove Avenue.
Emergency crews responded to the intersection after receiving reports that a child had been struck by a vehicle.
The child suffered serious injuries in the collision and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
