Authorities said two people were hospitalized following a two car accident on Interstate 80 east of Fernley.
Fernley, NV.- Two people were injured following a two car accident on Interstate 80 about 30 miles east of Fernley.
The accident occurred near mile marker 81 on Interstate 80.
Emergency crews responded to the scene and transported both injured people to hospitals for treatment.
One person was transported by air ambulance, while the second person was taken to a hospital by ground ambulance.
Authorities said both people suffered non life threatening injuries.
The westbound left lane of Interstate 80 remained closed for several hours while emergency crews assisted those involved and authorities investigated the accident.
The lane closure caused traffic backups in the area while crews worked at the scene.
The westbound left lane has since reopened, allowing traffic to resume normal travel through the area.
Authorities have not released the identities of the two people who were injured.
