Police said a car and a Valley Metro bus crashed.

Phoenix, AZ. – 29-year-old Emily Alexis Analla was killed after a traffic collision involving a Valley Metro bus in Phoenix on Wednesday morning, according to the Phoenix Police Department.
The accident occurred at about 9:45 a.m. in the area of 35th Avenue and Thomas Road.
Police said a car and a Valley Metro bus crashed.
Emily Alexis Analla, 29, a passenger in the vehicle sustained life-threatening injuries and succumbed to her injuries at the hospital.
A female passenger on the bus was taken to the hospital as a precaution.
The vehicle driver, Xavier Jose Manuel, 23, sustained non-life- threatening injuries and was hospitalized.
Police said Manuel showed signs of impairment and toxicology tests were conducted.
Manuel was later released from the hospital and was booked into jail.
More charges were expected after the toxicology results.
The incident remains under investigation.
