Authorities said a 57 year old woman was injured following a two vehicle accident Saturday evening at County Road 20 and County Road 35 in Elkhart County.
Elkhart, IN.- A 57 year old woman was injured following a two vehicle accident Saturday evening in Elkhart County.
The accident occurred around 6:04 p.m. on August 29 at the intersection of County Road 20 and County Road 35.
Elkhart County deputies responded to the scene and found a 2015 Cadillac SRX and a 2019 Lexus RX3 involved in the collision.
According to the preliminary investigation, the Cadillac was driven by a 16 year old who allegedly failed to yield the right of way to oncoming traffic.
Authorities said the Lexus, driven by 57 year old Mariane Gingerich, then collided with the Cadillac.
Gingerich suffered a contusion to her right shin and reported pain following the collision.
Emergency crews transported Gingerich to Goshen Hospital for treatment.
The 16 year old Cadillac driver was not injured in the accident.
