Buckeye, AZ. – A driver of a dump truck was killed after a rollover collision on Thursday morning on a West Valley freeway exit ramp in Buckeye.

According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the accident happened at around 5:30 a.m. on June 25 on eastbound Interstate 10 off-ramp at Jackrabbit Trail.

Police said a dump truck ferrying sand had a tire issue and the driver lost control of the vehicle and it overturned.

The driver was declared dead at the crash site.

Officials closed the ramp from eastbound I-10 to Jackrabbit Trail during rush hour to give way to an on-scene investigation.

The incident remains under investigation.
