The pickup truck was lodged underneath the trailer
Lea County, N.M. – 19-year-old Dominick Calderon was killed in a collision on Tuesday morning in Lea County.
According to the Lea County Sheriff’s Office, the accident happened around 4:50 a.m. on Orla Road.
The man was driving a maroon 2016 GMC Sierra north on Orla Road when he struck the tank trailer as the Freightliner made a turn south onto Orla Road from a lease road.
The pickup truck was lodged underneath the trailer.
Calderon was killed in the accident.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
